Akshay Kumar is returning to the big screen with the upcoming historical courtroom drama Kesari Chapter 2.
While Kesari Chapter 2 is releasing this Friday, the next couple of weeks are quite big for the Hindi film industry with as many as five releases in total including Emraan Hashmi’s Ground Zero, Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2, Sanjay Dutt’s The Bhootnii and Rajkummar Rao’s Bhool Chuk Maaf.

Kesari Chapter 2

Marking the directorial debut of Karan Singh Tyagi, Kesari Chapter 2 is produced by Karan Johar and stars Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan and Ananya Panday in the lead roles.
The film is based on the court case against the British Raj in the aftermath of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
The trailer of the film received a lot of love and the film is expected to open to Rs 8.25 crore.
Kesari Chapter 2 releases in theatres on April 18, 2025.
Ground Zero

Ground Zero is directed by Tejas Vijay Prabha Deoskar and stars Emraan Hashmi as BSF Commandant Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey who led the operation to eliminate Jaish-e-Mohammed leader Ghazi Baba.
The film is expected to take an opening of Rs 75 lakh at the box office.
It is releasing in theatres on April 25, 2025.
Raid 2

A sequel to the 2018 hit, Raid 2 directed by Raj Kumar Gupta pits Ajay Devgn against Riteish Deshmukh. The film also stars Vaani Kapoor and Saurabh Shukla.
Raid 2 is estimated to open at Rs 16.25 crore. It is releasing in theatres on May 1, 2025.
The Bhootnii

Starring Sanjay Dutt, Sunny Singh, Mouni Roy and Palak Tiwari, The Bhootnii is directed by Siddhant Kumar Sachdev.
It is expected to open at Rs 75 lakh. The film releases in theatres on May 1, 2025.
Bhool Chuk Maaf

Starring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi, Bhool Chuk Maaf is directed by Karan Sharma and produced by Dinesh Vijan of Stree 2 and Chhaava fame.
The film is expected to make Rs 3.75 crore. It releases in theatres on May 9, 2025.
