A new toll policy can be implemented in the country, which is being considered to give great relief to the general public. Recently, Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said in a program that the new toll policy will be implemented in the next 15 days so that people will not have to argue with the toll worker at the toll plazas and people will pass through the toll plazas through the fast lane without any hindrance.
If sources are to be believed, in the new toll policy, by paying the annual fee, all the toll plazas from one city to another will be easily crossed. The fee of Rs 3000 will be for private car drivers. At the same time, the fee for large commercial vehicles and motorcyclists has not been fixed yet. However, two-wheelers will be kept in the free category as before.
Know how much will be the benefit if the policy is implemented.
This policy is beneficial for those who travel long distances continuously. In such a situation, if you travel only 500 km in a year in your four-wheeler i.e. car, then the toll on the expressway for one trip is between Rs 2100 and Rs 2400. In such a situation, if you travel 500 km four times a year, then you will get a benefit of Rs 6000 to Rs 6500 in a year.
Lifetime proposal not approved.
Under the new toll policy, a decision has not been taken on lifetime i.e. petrol whose age is 15 years and diesel cars whose age is 10 years, but if someone wants to pay the fee based on one year, then this option will also be kept. However, this decision has not been finalized yet.
What does NHAI have to say about the new toll policy?
According to sources in the National Highway Authority of India, nothing has been decided yet regarding the implementation of this policy in any way. The policy is still far from the planning mode. In such a situation, it is too early to say when this will be implemented or what facilities people will get in this policy.
