Washington, DC [United States], According to Variety, Ryan Gosling will play the main role in the next “Star Wars” film, “Star Wars: Starfighter,” which will be directed by Shawn Levy.
The movie is scheduled for release on May 28, 2027, and filming is expected to begin in the autumn.
At the banner’s annual Star Wars Celebration event in Tokyo on Friday morning, Variety reports that CCO Dave Filoni and President Kathleen Kennedy of Lucasfilm (the film production company) formally revealed plans for “Starfighter.”
The website has verified that Jonathan Tropper, who is renowned for writing the screenplays for filmmaker Levy’s prior movies, such as “The Adam Project” and “This is Where I Leave You,” wrote the script for the movie.
In order to further tease the project, actor-director Gosling and Levy made an appearance during the livestreamed Star Wars Celebration. Gosling wore a headgear that said, “Never tell me the odds.”
The actor remembered the influence of films and how they motivate him to work while speaking to the streaming audience.
“Seeing everyone here [makes it] more motivating to do it. This room is filled with love and a great deal of imagination and creativity. Variety quotes Gosling as saying, “It’s such a great reminder of how much movies can mean to us, specifically how much these movies mean to us.”
At the conclusion of the lecture, Gosling informed the yelling crowd. “The fans are the force, even if it’s a strange entity while I’m here. According to Variety, Gosling said, “All we can hope for is, ‘May the fans be with us.'”
The remaining cast members’ information have not yet been made public by the producers.
Set approximately five years after the events of “Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker,” which brought an end to the Skywalker saga, Starwars: Starfighter is a stand-alone film that centres on new characters in the “Star Wars” universe. It is currently the last film in the “Star Wars” timeline in terms of chronological order.
