His Division Commander then gave the Kpop star a recognition certificate. After finishing his KCTC training, Jimin was also honored with the title of Special Warrior or Special Grade Soldier.

On December 12, 2023, Jimin joined the South Korean military. On June 11, 2025, he is anticipated to be released.
