Greater Noida Railway Station: With the official name of the future railway station at Bodaki being Greater Noida Terminal, Greater Noida is poised to be one of the most advanced transportation hubs in north India. The transportation hub is intended to serve as the National Capital Region’s (NCR) entryway to the country’s east. The Times of India said that the new railway station in Greater Noida would have the capacity to accommodate 100 trains, including the Vande Bharat and other high-end expresses.

The terminal will have 12 platforms and 63 yard lines for thorough maintenance operations, and it will be situated on 46 hectares inside a large 176-hectare multimodal transport hub. In order to create a mixed-use development, the station’s bottom floor will be utilized for train operations and other associated tasks, while the upper stories will house commercial areas.

The news station will provide communication between eastern India and Delhi-NCR, less than an hour’s drive from the soon-to-be Noida International airport. The Greater Noida Terminal will serve as a hub for commuters from Noida, Greater Noida, and other cities in the National Capital Region. It will include a local bus terminal, an interstate bus stop, and a metro corridor connecting Depot Station and Bodaki.

Since its inception, the project has undergone tremendous change. After improved amenities, officials expect the spending to treble from its initial estimate of Rs 1,850 crore.

The transport hub project gathered speed after being designated as a special railway project in December of last year, which expedited site acquisition and subsequent approvals.

According to the report, the extra DM (land) assigned as the project’s competent authority for acquisition advised that the project’s purchase was probably going to be finished in two months.

The SPV would manage funding and related development, while Indian Railways will be in charge of the main infrastructure. DMIC-IITGNL, a special purpose vehicle (SPV) jointly developed by NICDIT (Centre) and Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA), each of which has a 50% ownership, is working on the master plan.

The project would link to important highways and the Delhi-Howrah railway line. It will be divided into two zones: 130 hectares for transit and commercial usage and 46 hectares for the terminal.

Along the Greater Noida Corridor, it will stimulate urban expansion and relieve traffic at the Anand Vihar train station. It is projected that the New Noida Railway Station would be finished in three years.
