Madhya Pradesh Board is going to declare the results of the 12th board soon. After passing the exam, if your dream is to become a teacher in a government school, then you have many options. To become a teacher, you can choose any of the paths from D.El.Ed, B.Ed, or the four-year ITEP course started under the new education policy. If you want to teach nursery or pre-primary class children, then the NTT (Nursery Teacher Training) course can be done for this.
D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) is a two-year course, after which you become eligible to teach children from classes 1 to 5th. This course is organized by the State Education Center and the admission process is conducted every year for this.
B.Ed and Higher Education
If you want to teach children from class 6 to 8th, then you have to do B.Ed after graduation. B.Ed course is available in many government colleges of Madhya Pradesh. For example, 50 to 107 seats of B.Ed are available in government colleges of Bhopal, Jabalpur, Dewas, Ujjain, Khandwa, Rewa, Chhatarpur and Gwalior.
ITEP course is a part of the new education policy
The four-year ITEP (Integrated Teacher Education Programme) course is also becoming increasingly popular now. It has been designed as a B.Ed along with graduation so that the process of becoming a teacher can be made simple and effective. In Madhya Pradesh, this course is available in four institutions, Central Sanskriti University Bhopal, Dr. Harisingh Gour University Sagar, Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramodaya University, and Regional Institute of Education Bhopal. Admission is done through the NCET entrance exam, which is organized by NTA.
The Open University option is also available
Students who cannot go to regular college can do B.Ed and D.El.Ed from Bhoj Open University. Here also there is an option of D.El.Ed for 12th pass students and B.Ed for graduates in which minimum 50% marks are required.
