Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya’s European tour last year took a tragic turn when they were robbed in Florence, Italy. The incident happened at a resort. The perpetrators took the couple’s passports, cash, credit cards, and other valuables. Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya had opened up about the situation on social media and had shared their struggle of returning home. Recently, they shared alarming details about the robbery that they had not divulged earlier.
Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya appeared on Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa’s podcast and shared some shocking facts about the unfortunate incident. The couple had visited a vineyard with a resort in Florence. Before check-in, they were offered a tour and they decided to go on that first. They had even asked the receptionist if it was safe to keep their luggage in the lobby and received affirmation. The actors claimed that the staff were all together during the robbery.
Divyanka and Vivek said they thought that the staff members were “sweet and warm” After they got robbed, the staff helped them with essentials, trying to sympathise with them. They stated, “Kamaal ke actors hai, they even started crying with us.”
Furthermore, they mention that a lady, who was very helpful, went to the police station to register the complaint. Now, due to the language barrier they were unable to understand that she gave a false statement. She informed the police that the couple did not want to report the crime and did not want any follow-up. It was their responsibility for leaving their stuff in public parking.
Not just their luggage, Vivek and Divyanka were also robbed of their drone during the same trip while they were shooting the Leaning Tower of Pisa. While the drone was flying back to them, someone grabbed it into their home.
Following their confession, Haarsh had recounted a similar experience while he and Bharti were on honeymoon in Rome. According to him, the thief was so swift that he had no idea something had been stolen from him until two days later. He took two steps back, sensing something was wrong, but the robber had already left.
