News, New Delhi: Sonu Nigam Controversy: Bollywood's famous singer Sonu Nigam is once again in the discussion. But this time the reason is not his new song, but a controversial statement. During a live concert in Bengaluru, his response has not only caused a stir on social media, but is now fearing a ban from the Kannada film industry.

Troll fiercely on media

Sonu Nigam's live concert was held on 25 April at a college in Bengaluru. During this event, some spectators repeatedly demanded him to sing in Kannada language. At first Sonu reacted smiling to it, but the matter went on increasing. After all, angry Sonu Nigam said to the stage – “This is the reason that occur like Pahalgam.” This comment was considered objectionable by many audiences and he was trolled fiercely on social media.

People told this statement 'linguistic insult'

Not only this, a complaint has also been lodged against Sonu Nigam at Aavalli police station in Bengaluru. Many people described this statement as 'linguistic insult' and demanded legal action. However, after the controversy escalated, Sonu released a video on Instagram and clarified that he became emotional when he was threatened by some boys on the stage.
“I did not say anything about the Kannada community. My anger was on some boys, not on the whole language or culture,” he said.

Now there are reports that the Karnataka film Chamber of Commerce is calling an important meeting on Monday with this entire controversy. The meeting will include key members of the Music Directors Association, Directors and Producers Association. According to sources, there will be a serious discussion on keeping Sonu Nigam out of Kannada films in future in the meeting.

The meeting is also expected to attend the meeting of veteran musicians of Kannada cinema like Sadhu Kokila, Harikrishna, Arjun Janya and Dharma. The industry believes that Sonu Nigam's statement was derogatory and this reflects a sense of disrespect towards Kannada culture.

Sonu Nigam may get a big shock

Now the big question is whether Kannada film industry will distance from Sonu Nigam forever? If this happens, it will be a strong shock for Sonu in terms of career, as he has given his voice in many superhit films in South India. His sung song 'Anisuthide Yaako Indu' is still included in the favorite list of Kannada Music Lovers.

Now everyone's eyes are on the meeting of the Karnataka film Chamber, where a big decision can be taken on the future of Sonu Nigam. Will the apology be able to save his career or will the matter be worse – the answer can be found in the coming hours.
