Desk. There was a time when Virat Kohli used to captain RCB in the Indian cricket team and IPL. But now he is neither the captain of Team India nor is he commanding Bengaluru in the IPL. No one knew why he decided to leave the captaincy. But now Kohli himself has removed the curtain from this secret. Kohli has explained why he decided to leave the captaincy.

Virat Kohli said that he was the captain of the Indian cricket team and RCB for about eight to ten years, during which his captaincy and batting were being closely monitored. After this, Kohli thought that the bus was enough, then Kohli took a big and important decision to leave the captaincy to be happy in life. After the T20 World Cup 2021, Kohli left the captaincy of T20 International on the one hand, after which he decided to give up the captaincy of RCB in the IPL. After about a year, Kohli also gave up the captaincy of Test Team India.

Kohli said on the podcast of RCB Bold Diaries that there was a time when a lot was happening in his career. He said that whenever he used to go for batting, he was expecting high expectations in batting. This caused difficulty in focusing them. He had to struggle a lot. Virat Kohli used to think only about it all the time. Kohli said that in the year 2022, he took a break of about a month and during this time he did not even touch the bat. Kohli said that at one time he started feeling that if he had to retain himself in the game then it is important to be happy.

Kohli may have won any ICC Trophy for his team at senior level, but under his captaincy, Team India had won the Under -19 World Cup title. Kohli also named his captain MS Dhoni during this conversation. Kohli said that MS Dhoni and Gary Kirsten gave him the confidence to play at number three for India. Kohli said that he had seen many big and legendary cricketers playing, he did not think that his game was close to those veterans. But Dhoni and Kirsten assured him that their number three is confirmed.
