The entry list for the has been revealed, with 2009 world champion and potential Cadillac candidate among the 19 former F1 stars on the grid. Le Mans is the highlight of the World Endurance Championship calendar and makes up one-third of the Triple Crown of Motorsport, alongside the Indianapolis 500 and the Monaco Grand Prix. Held annually since 1923, it is the crown jewel of the endurance racing sphere.


The prestige of the event, range of classes, and the requirement for three drivers per car mean that far more racers are able to contest at Le Mans than in the Indy 500 or Monaco GP. In 2025, 19 former F1 stars are among the headline names competing for glory at the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe.

Hypercar class

Antonio Giovinazzi, Mick Schumacher and Jenson Button are among the notable names attempting to deliver glory at the 2025 edition of the legendary endurance race. In total, 17 drivers in the Hypercar class have started at least one F1 Grand Prix.

The 2025 LMP2 class contains just two former F1 talents, although a number of stars who have sampled the paddock as test and reserve drivers will be present, including Theo Pourchaire, Louis Deletraz and Antonio Felix da Costa.

LMGT3 Class

No former F1 racers will take to the Circuit de la Sarthe in the LMGT3 class in 2025. However, Daniel Juncadella, who signed as a simulator driver for Aston Martin in December, will represent the TF Sport organisation.
