Yamaha India’s 10-year warranty: Key details

The ‘10-Year Total Warranty’ is structured as a 2-year standard warranty, complemented by an 8-year extended warranty. The coverage extends to key components like the engine and electrical systems, including the Fuel Injection (Fi) system. Yamaha is offering the Total Warranty program at no extra cost to new customers for a limited period. Post this initial phase, the extended warranty will be available at a minimal charge, which the company is yet to specify. This warranty scheme will cover products such as the Ray ZR Fi, Fascino 125 Fi and the Aerox 155 Version S. Moreover, these scooters are also protected for up to one lakh km. On the other hand, the entire motorcycle lineup, which includes popular models like the FZ Series, R15, and MT-15, benefits from an extended warranty of up to 1.25 lakh km.

Another key feature of this initiative is its transferability. Should the vehicle change hands, the warranty remains valid for the new owner.Currently, Yamaha’s lineup in India features a range of popular models, including the YZF-R15 series, the FZ series, and the MT-15.
