Doha: India’s javelin star Neeraj Chopra finally showed the feat that the whole country was waiting for a long time. In Doha Diamond League 2025, Neeraj made a new national record by throwing a spear of 90.23 meters and crossed the 90 meter mark for the first time. This achievement is not only the biggest jump of his career, but has also proved to be a milestone in the history of Indian athletics. With this magnificent throw, he finished first and took a big lead in the Diamond League race.

Neeraj Chopra’s previous best throw was 89.94 meters, which he performed in the Stockhom Diamond League in 2022. This time in Doha, he started with 88.44 meters in the first attempt and in the third attempt, he was on the ground with a historic throw of 90.23 meters. Kishore Jena also participated in this event but he could not come in the top five. This victory of Neeraj gives a strong indication to his preparation before the Paris Olympics.
