Broadcaster has weighed in on the UK's performance in a post on X. The outspoken star reposted a clip from the account which showed the Household Guards performing their take on What The Hell Just Happened, which was UK Eurovision entrants Remember Monday's song. The post wished the trio wel, however, Piers was not so gracious. Captioning it he wrote: "Can we just enter the Guards next year, to spare us the annual toe-curling ignominy of our dreadful entries..."

came 19th overall in the competition, which was one by Austria's JJ with his song Wasted Love. Although reaching the top ten with the jury vote they received zero points from the public which sent them careering down the leaderboard. However with a shrug and a smile. On Sunday morning they declared "this is just the beginning".

They said in a statement: "WOW - what a ride! Three best mates walked onto the world's biggest music stage and came out with a Top 10 Jury score, massive streaming numbers, and memories that will last a lifetime.

"Performing at Eurovision was one of the most surreal and emotional moments of our lives.

"The love we've felt from fans, our incredible team, and everyone who streamed, voted, and believed in us has been overwhelming."

"This is just the beginning for Remember Monday. We've got new music coming your way, a UK and Ireland headline tour this year, a summer packed with festivals, and we'll be hitting the stage at Wembley Stadium for the Summertime Ball... no big deal!" they added.

Piers followers felt it was time for the UK to give up on the annual competition altogether. Commenting on his post one wrote: "Won't make any difference we can put Elton John with Robbie Williams and dua lipa singing we would still come last. We are only wanted to pay for the event.

"Literally no point the world hates us but they love our free NHS and giving money for nothing attitude," another penned.

"We could enter with Elton on piano, Ringo on the drums , Noel Gallagher on guitar and Robbie Williams on vocals and (they) would still give us 0 points. They don't like us much do they they, until they want some money or weapons or money to buy weapons," a third chimed in.

"They would still come away with 0...We need to stop funding the contest & go through the qualification route," a fourth added.
