Mumbai: A serious road accident occurred on the Eastern Express Highway near Vikhroli early Monday morning when a tempo rammed into a car. The crash resulted in significant damage to both vehicles.
The incident took place around 6:40 AM on the southbound road descending from Narayan Bodhe Bridge, en route to Thane. Due to the accident, traffic movement on the Eastern Express Highway was heavily disrupted, leading to a major jam during peak morning hours.
The tempo driver sustained minor injuries, while Ankit Dhananjay Dubey (28), a resident of Rathi, Bhiwandi-Thane, was reported injured in the mishap. Authorities arrived on the scene to clear the wreckage and manage the traffic situation. Further investigation is underway.
