Recently, actor Ajith Kumar visited the Imola circuit, specifically the Tamburello corner where Ayrton Senna tragically lost his life, to pay his respects to the Formula 1 World Champion. Ajith has a deep and publicly acknowledged admiration for the late Formula 1 legend, whom he considers his idol in the racing world. In a video now up on Ajith Kumar Racing team’s X account, he can be seen kissing the foot of the statue of Senna and sitting in front of it holding hands, as if in a prayer. It is ironic for Ajith, a man who is so opposed to the idea of deification.

In a recent interview with TNIE’s Indulge ExpressAjith expressed that he is a massive admirer of Senna. When asked about his dream car, the actor mentioned the McLaren Senna. “I had been pursuing this car for some time, and recently was fortunate enough to acquire the 20th example out of the 500 total ever built – and that is my dream come true,” he said.
