Tata Motors is preparing to launch its popular SUVs – safari and facelift version of Safari and Harrier in this financial year. So far, both these SUVs based on diesel powertrain will soon see the option of petrol engine. This will be the first time these two strong SUVs will be introduced in the petrol version.

New engine option will be available in Safari and Harrier facelift

According to media reports, Tata Motors is working on new petrol models of safari and Harrier. The price of these petrol variants can be reduced by about ₹ 1 lakh as compared to diesel models. The company is going to provide a 1.5-liter TGDI petrol engine in both models, which will generate a power of 168 bhp and torque of 280 Nm. The engine will come with 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT Automatic Gearbox options.

Spots were done several times during testing

The facelift prototype of these SUVs has been seen several times during testing. According to Tata Motors, it will not just change a cosmetic update but also a big change in the case of Poverty and features.

Technology similar to Tata Curve

Just as the Tata Curve has a 1.2-liter TGDI engine, which provides 118 bhp and 170 Nm of torque, the new 1.5-liter engine in safari and Harrier will give one level above performance.

Adas feature will revolution in safety

These facelifted SUVs are expected to get Level-2 Adas suite, which will improve their safety capacity. The Tata Harrier EV is to be launched on June 3, which may give an idea of ​​the design updates of these two SUVs.
