Fans of the legendary songwriter were left in stitches after watching the veteran performer during a recent show.

It appears something in the crowd caught the attention of 'Mr. Tambourine Man' songwriter Dylan, who was heard "laughing" at the crowd during his performance at the Credit Union Amphitheatre in California, .

His performance on the Outlaw Music Festival tour heard the long-time performer bring classic tracks back into his setlist, as well as a few cover songs. It was during a cover of a which makes reference to him that Dylan spotted something in the crowd.

The moment was captured on video, a rarity for Dylan gigs given the artist's tech-free gigs and use of phone lock pouches, and uploaded to TikTok.

Fans of the veteran performer are delighted with his reaction and praised the 84-year-old musician for noticing the crowd actions which have since gone viral.

During the closing song of his performance at the California-based venue, Dylan's voice can be heard breaking into what sounded like a laugh as the camera pans towards two men in the crowd.

The shirtless dancers were bringing an energy to the performance quite unlike any other crowd member, hitting one another with their shirts and dancing along to Dylan's performance.

It seems to have delighted the songwriter and his fans, with TikTok users praising the pair for bringing a surprise energy to the show. Dylan had been playing a cover of Rick Nelson's song, 'Garden Party', at the time.

One user praised Dylan, writing: "Dylan laughing at those kids having fun. Fantastic version." Others were full of praise for Dylan's singing voice, with users suggesting he sounds stronger than ever during the Outlaw Music Festival shows.

Dylan is sharing the billing of these recent shows with fellow music legend Willie Nelson and Billy Strings. Fans have since praised the performance from Dylan, saying it was one of the best in a long time.

One user wrote: "Bob sounding great!" Another added: "Wow, he's sounding incredible! Gonan need to get Outlaw Festival tickets I guess."

A third suggested the two dancing men in the crowd were thoroughly validated in their response to seeing the music legend. They wrote: "Valid reaction to Dylan."

Not everyone believes Dylan was laughing at the crowd though, as some suggest it was merely the way his voice sounded at the time of the performance. One user wrote: "He wasn't laughing at them, just his phrasing."

Another disagreed, saying Dylan seemed to be having a lot of fun on the tour, which has since seen him perform at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

The user wrote: "We just saw him at the [Hollywood] Bowl, he is having so much fun on this tour."
