The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) held the Class 10 and 12 board exams for 2025 between February 11 and March 3. While the Class 10 exams were held in the morning session from 9:45 AM to 1:00 PM, Class 12 exams were held during the afternoon session from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM. After the written tests, practical tests took place between March 4 and March 20, 2025.

To pass in the JAC Class 10 board exams, the students need to obtain at least 33% marks in aggregate. But the board also has a policy of grace marks for borderline cases. One who fails in one subject can be awarded up to 5% grace marks, and for a student failing in two subjects, up to 3% extra marks can be awarded in each of the two subjects. The benefit of this provision is to provide the students with a reasonable opportunity to pass without lowering the standards.
