Jaipur – The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) is all set to declare the Class 10 board results today, May 28, 2025, at 4 PM. While thousands of students across the state await their results with anticipation, many may not be aware that passing Class 10 could also bring significant financial benefits from the government.



The Rajasthan government offers a unique scholarship initiative — the Construction Workers' Education and Skill Development Scheme (NSKKVY) — aimed at supporting the children of registered construction laborers. Under this scheme, eligible students can receive annual scholarships ranging from ₹9,000 to ₹35,000, and in some cases, up to ₹1 lakh in cash awards.



What Is the Construction Workers' Education and Skill Development Scheme?



This welfare initiative is designed to promote education among children of construction workers in Rajasthan. Through this scheme, financial assistance is provided to students from Class 6 through post-graduation. The goal is to encourage academic achievement and reduce dropout rates due to financial constraints.

Moreover, students who rank in the Top 10 in RBSE Class 10 merit list will receive a special ₹1 lakh cash reward from the Rajasthan Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.



Eligibility Criteria



To be eligible for the NSKKVY scheme, the following conditions must be met:





  • The parent or guardian must be a registered construction worker under the Rajasthan Labor Welfare Board.




  • Only two children per registered worker are eligible for regular scholarships.




  • The student must be enrolled in a recognized school, college, ITI, or polytechnic institution.




  • Students must advance to the next academic level to continue receiving benefits.




  • Students must secure at least 75% marks in Class 8–12 and a minimum of 60% in diploma or graduation programs to qualify for cash rewards.





Can Spouses of Workers Apply?



Yes. If the wife of a registered worker is pursuing regular education from a recognized institution and is under the age of 35, she can also apply for the scholarship. However, in such cases, only one child will be eligible for the scheme.



How to Apply



Step 1: Register on the official SSO portal (Single Sign-On) using Jan Aadhaar or a Gmail ID.



Step 2: Log in and navigate to the LDMS dashboard, select the relevant labor welfare scheme, and click “Apply for Scheme”.



Step 3: Fill in the application form with the necessary details and upload the required documents.



Documents Required





  • Copy of the worker's registration ID




  • Copy of bank passbook with account and IFSC details




  • Aadhaar/Bhamashah card of the student or spouse




  • Self-attested copy of the latest mark sheet




  • Verification from the educational institution





No Application Fee Required



There is no application fee to avail of this scheme. However, construction workers are required to maintain their annual contribution to the board to continue receiving benefits.
