A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Dubai Women Establishment (DWE) and Dubai Media Academy, a division of Dubai Media Incorporated, with the goal of promoting women’s empowerment and strengthening their leadership positions in the media industry. On the last day of the Arab Media Summit 2025, which was sponsored by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE’s vice president and prime minister and ruler of Dubai, Naeema Ahli, CEO of the Dubai Women Establishment, and Muna Bu Samra, director of the Dubai Media Academy, signed the deal.
According to Naeema Ahli, the MoU is in accordance with the orders of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, as well as Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the President of the Dubai Women Establishment. “This partnership reflects our commitment to building impactful strategic collaborations that enhance women’s participation across diverse sectors,” she said.
She also highlighted the long-standing collaboration with Dubai Media Incorporated, characterizing it as one of the top media organizations in the United Arab Emirates. Noting that the agreement covers the creation of collaborative projects, training courses, and workshops, Naeema Ahli praised the Dubai Media Academy for supporting DWE’s goal to increase the representation of women in the media. In order to provide women in middle and senior management roles in Dubai’s public sector the tools and talents they need to succeed in a rapidly changing media environment, these initiatives will concentrate on improving their media competencies.
The Dubai Women Establishment’s efforts to improve women’s talents in various disciplines were praised by Muna Bu Samra.
