Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning saw its first major decline in numbers at the box office as it nearned the end of its second week. The Tom Cruise starrer surpassed the Rs 80 crore mark in India, collecting Rs 1.75 crore on its 13th day (Thursday), state early estimates on Sacnilk.com. This marks a decline from its daily earnings of over Rs 2 crore, indicating a slowdown in its box office momentum.
The film had a robust start, amassing Rs 54.4 crore within the first week of its release. However, as is common with many theatrical releases, midweek collections have seen a dip. The film's total week 2 collection now stands at an estimated Rs 26.7 crore.
The film's total collection at the Indian box office now stands at an estimated Rs 81.10 crore.
In the Indian market, the film's performance has been noteworthy, however, it has not managed to outpace its predecessor, Dead Reckoning Part One . By its second week at the box office, the film had earned an impressive 98.35 crore.
On the international front, according to Box Office Mojo, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning has now surpassed $220 million globally, with $86.2 million from the domestic market and $136.1 million from international territories.
Supplementary data from The Numbers places the film among the top 25 highest-grossing titles of Tom Cruise’s career worldwide. Currently ranked at 23rd, it trails closely behind Interview with the Vampire ($223.6 million), A Few Good Men ($236.5 million), and Knight and Day ($258.7 million). The film recently overtook Jack Reacher ($217.4 million) and Collateral ($217.6 million).
As The Final Reckoning continues its theatrical run, its performance in the coming weeks will be crucial in determining its overall success, both in India and globally.
