The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the notification for the supplementary exam for the students who appeared in the 10th and 12th board examinations 2025. The board has given relief news for those students who could not pass the main examination or want to improve their marks. All such private candidates can now apply online from 30 May to 17 June 2025 by visiting the official website cbse.gov.in.



Who can apply?



Those who appeared in the 10th or 12th examination of CBSE in the year 2025 and have come in the 'compartment' category. Students who have already passed the exam but now want to improve their marks in one or two subjects. However, regular students with compartment cannot apply individually. They will have to apply for supplementary examination through their respective schools only.



When will the exam be held?



CBSE has informed that the supplementary examinations of class 10th and 12th will start from July 15, 2025. The detailed timetable will be released on the official website soon. 10th students can appear for supplementary examination in maximum two subjects. 12th students can apply for only one subject, whether it is compartment or marks improvement.



Be careful in applying



Students have been advised to fill their subject selection and personal information carefully while filling the form. Once the form is submitted, no changes will be made in it. Therefore, it is important to double-check all the details.



When will the admit card come?



The admit card for CBSE Supplementary Exam 2025 is likely to be released in the first week of July. Students are advised to keep a regular check on the official website of the board so that they get the datesheet, admit card and other important updates on time.
