Hyderabad: Mahesh Babu’s Khaleja is back, and this time, it’s unstoppable. The re-release of the 2010 action-drama has taken the box office by storm, grossing an unbelievable Rs 8 crore worldwide on Day 1. In the US alone, it became the first Telugu re-release to cross $100K, setting an all-time record.

Released again in theatres on May 30, 2025, the film is now officially the biggest and highest-grossing re-release in Telugu cinema history. Fans across the globe celebrated like it was a festival, with packed theatres, special screenings, recreating the iconic scenes in the similar character costumes and electrifying energy in every corner.


Directed by Trivikram Srinivas and starring Anushka Shetty alongside Mahesh Babu, Khaleja was originally released in 2010. While it didn’t see much success at the time, fans always believed it was ahead of its time. Now, 15 years later, the film is getting the love and recognition it always deserved.
