New Delhi: Rajkum Radra is a slab in the railrost of the rail. Bhool chuk maaf is performing decently at the box office. In seven days, the small-town rom-com has won over audiences, collecting Rs 47.25 crore by the end of Day 7.
On its second Friday, the film earned Rs 3.15 crore. With this momentum, it is expected to cross the Rs 50 crore mark by Saturday. The film will have another week to boost its earnings further. If collections continue at the same pace, Bhool Chuk Maaf could end its theatrical run with approximately Rs 65–70 crore.
The film has collected Rs 47.25 crore so far and is on track to enter the Rs 50 crore club. This is a significant milestone, especially for a low-budget romantic comedy with a simple narrative and strong performances, rather than a high-octane action thriller.
Though it had a slow start, the film picked up pace by its third day with a collection of Rs 11.5 crore. Interestingly, its first-week earnings were on par with Kesari 2, the courtroom drama starring Akshay Kumar and R. Madhavan. However, Bhool Chuk Maaf is expected to surpass the Rs 50 crore milestone on its second Saturday.
Comparatively, Wamiqa Gabbi’s previous film Baby John, which starred Varun Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh, managed only Rs 39 crore, while Rajkummar Rao’s Vicky vidya ka woh none video earned Rs 44.48 crore. In this light, Bhool chuk maaf has proved to be a solid performer with strong potential for more growth in the coming days.
On the work front, Rajkummar Rao will next be seen in Maturity and Toasterboth of which are expected to release later this year. Production for both films is currently underway.
