Delhi: Electric vehicles are in high demand in the Indian market. Delhi has always been ahead of these vehicles and now there is nothing new. But now the new Chief Minister of Delhi Rekha Gupta has announced that the government will provide subsidy to the people to promote electric vehicles in Delhi.

In this regard, Rekha Gupta said that conversion of all vehicles to electric vehicles, including individual vehicles, is a big goal, and this is why the Delhi government is coming up with a new EV policy. He said that we would urge people to buy electric vehicles. The next part of this is that grants will be provided for this incentive. In addition, to cope with air pollution, 3 water sprinkles are being rented a year. These sprinklers will work in the morning and late at night so that the road is not crowded.

Ready to draft the new EV policy

Earlier this year, the new EV policy drafted a new EV policy, in which the roadmap of the Delhi government’s view was stated. For the first time in the draft of the Delhi EV policy, a tax exemption for hybrid vehicles has been proposed. In addition, the draft policy proposes to provide full exemption in road tax and registration fees for hybrid vehicles worth Rs. Road tax and registration fee for all battery electric vehicles will be completely waived during the period of Delhi EV Policy 1.5.

The benefits of electronic vehicles

Electric vehicles (EVS) provide many benefits of environmentally and economically. They offer low or zero tailpipe emissions, low operating costs and low maintenance costs.

Environmental Benefits:

  • Zero Telpy Emissions: EVS produces zero telpipe emissions compared to petrol or diesel, which reduces air pollution
  • Low greenhouse gas emissions: EVs emit less carbon dioxide (CO2) than fossil fuel -powered vessels, causing the climate change to contribute less
  • Decreased sound pollution: EVs are quiet and less noisy, which reduces the noise pollution in the city
  • Use of clean energy: EVS can be charged with electricity, which can be obtained from renewable energy sources, which reduce the greenhouse gas emissions.

Economic benefits:

  • Low fuel costs: It may be cheaper to charge EV than paying petrol or diesel, which reduces your fuel costs
  • Lack of care expenses: EVS has low moving parts, which make it less maintenable, which reduces costs
  • Tax Benefits: Some governments provide subsidy or tax deduction on EV purchase, which reduces your cost.
