The second unofficial Test between India A and England Lions at Northampton ended in a thrilling draw from June 6 to 9. Amid brilliant performances from both sides, young all-rounder Anshul Kamboj stole the spotlight with a powerful batting display and effective bowling.
Coming in at number 9 during India A’s second innings, Kamboj played a crucial unbeaten knock of 51 runs, featuring 5 fours and 1 six, frustrating the England bowlers. He shared a match-turning 149 run partnership* with Tanush Kotian for the eighth wicket, helping India A post a strong total of 417/7 declared.
While he scored just 2 runs in the first innings, Kamboj’s resilience in the second innings showed his potential as a game-changer.
Captain Abhimanyu Easwaran scored a solid 80 runs with 10 boundaries.
KL Rahul added 51 runs.
