Former star has admitted that she hasn't spoken to her ex-husband since her mum died. Fern met Phil Vickery whilst on the set of Two's Ready Steady Cook and had one child together called Winnie. The couple decided to call it quits in 2020 after two decades of marriage. When Fern announced her second divorce in 2020, she posted a statement saying: "After more than 20 happy years together, Phil and I have decided to go our separate ways. We will always share a great friendship and our lovely children." The star was also married to Clive Jones for two years before the pair split up in 2000. Clive is the father to three of her four children: Jack, Harry, and Grace.
According to BANG Showbiz, Fern told You Magazine, "He [Phil] hasn't spoken to me for six years now. As soon as my mum died, he stopped talking to me."
She said about her daughter: "Winnie adores him. I'm not going to badmouth him in front of her; at least, I try very hard not to. I was the child of divorced parents, and my mum never bad-mouthed my father."
The former presenter also said her divorce from TV executive Clive Jones, which was finalised in 2000 following their 1998 split after 10 years of marriage, made it easier to write about her new novel, A Cornish Legacy.
The TV star is also thankful for her children's support after Ruth and her dad, actor Tony Britton, both died.
In terms of finding love again, Fern told fellow Celebrity Big Brother contestant Louis Walsh that love was out of the window for her. She shared: "I don't want to fall in love again."
Fern said to Louis, "I'm ready to slow down, like you. I've been working solidly since I was 20." Agreeing, Louis replied, "You realise what life is, and you realise why I haven't done this before, why I didn't go there, why I didn't do that?"
Before entering the Celebrity Big Brother house, Fern told Weekend Magazine that she's currently not dating anyone.
