On the occasion of Father's Day, Indian cricket star took to Instagram to share a deeply heartfelt post, reflecting on the impact his late father had on his life and career. Kohli posted a touching childhood picture with his father, Prem Kohli, alongside a powerful message that offered fans a rare glimpse into the values and lessons that have shaped his journey.

In his emotional caption, Kohli wrote about one of the most defining moments of his youth when his father turned down an easier path that was offered to him. "He taught me to never rely on shortcuts or influence — because if you truly have it in you, hard work will show it. And if you don’t have the will to work for it, then maybe you don’t deserve it yet," Kohli shared.

Kohli added, “With calm conviction, he said, ‘If you’re good enough, you’ll find your way. And if not, it’s better to know that early.’” He went on to say that this one moment left a lasting imprint on his personality, guiding the way he lives, works, and carries himself even today.

The post concluded with a moving message dedicated to all fathers: “Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers whose quiet strength becomes our lifelong compass.”

Virat Kohli’s tribute struck a chord with fans, many of whom praised his honesty, humility, and the timeless values his father passed down to him. Known not only for his cricketing excellence but also for his discipline and work ethic, Kohli’s words gave followers insight into the roots of his determination and character.

AB De Villiers Admits Blunder That Strained Friendship With Virat Kohli For Several Months

South African maestro AB de Villiers has recently opened up about a difficult moment in his friendship with Virat Kohli. The former South African cricketer in an interview with cricket.com revealed that Kohli stopped talking to him for several months after de Villiers accidentally shared private information.

During the interview, de Villiers said that he had revealed the news of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma expecting their second child before the couple made it public. He admitted that it was a mistake and something he regrets.

"I know we were in the same boat because we spoke about it. He's been in touch with me over the last six months. Thank goodness, because I did have a bit of a footfall not so long ago when they were expecting their second child. So I was very relieved when he started talking to me again," de Villiers said to cricket.com.

Kohli, who is known to be very private about his personal life, didn’t take it lightly. Thankfully, things eventually got better. De Villiers said he felt a huge sense of relief when Kohli finally started talking to him again. The two reunited during Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s successful IPL 2025 campaign, where they celebrated the team’s maiden IPL title.
