Nupur Sanon, sister of Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon, is under fire as her fashion label, Label Nobo, faces criticism for its steep pricing and lack of originality. Founded in 2024, Label Nobo short for “No Boundaries” claims to offer “premium high-quality fabrics.” However, many social media users disagree, calling the designs too basic for their expensive price tags.
Outrage Over Exorbitant Prices
The brand’s pricing has become the subject of widespread trolling on platforms like Reddit. The least expensive dress is priced at around ₹7,000, while the most expensive kurta set goes up to ₹26,500. A Banarasi lehenga is listed at ₹21,000, while western wear like a skirt and crop top set costs ₹20,000. The cheapest item on the website is a pair of shorts priced at ₹2,400.
Netizens are questioning the brand’s value, saying the outfits don’t reflect premium quality or design innovation. One Reddit user mocked, “Label NoboDY IS BUYING THIS OVERPRICED FAST FASHION SH*T FROM ME.” Others pointed out similar styles available in local Indian markets like Rajouri, Chandni Chowk, Jaipur, and Jodhpur for a fraction of the cost. One user commented, “These are the ugliest clothes I’ve ever seen, good lord.”
