Palak Tiwari , daughter of television icon Shweta Tiwari , recently opened up about her emotional reaction to seeing her mother’s acting, especially from the iconic show Kasautii Zindagii Kay . In a candid chat with Mashable India, Palak revealed, “I have never seen my mom’s show Kasautii Zindagii Kay in my life. I have seen very less of my mom’s works.”
Palak shared that watching her mother perform triggers a mix of awe and anxiety. “When I see my mom’s works, main crisis me chali jaati hu. You see your parents’ works and you feel, they are so good at their jobs, main toh gayi. I feel how many years will it take me to reach where she has reached. So I would feel stressed.”

Recalling a moment that moved her deeply, Palak said, “I was scrolling Instagram, and I saw a scene of my mom from Kasautii. In the scene, she was crying, having a mental breakdown and she was my age back then. So I started watching a few scenes online and I started crying thinking my mother is so awesome.”
Palak also shared some light-hearted and heartfelt moments about her mother Shweta Tiwari, especially around her widely admired fitness. Palak revealed, “My mom is most shocked when people talk about her fitness. She doesn’t go to the gym or do anything to take care of herself. She says, ‘I don’t know why people keep saying such things.’”

Unlike her effortlessly fit mother, Palak said staying in shape is a dedicated routine for her. “I go to the gym, I’m not as blessed as my mom. I work out five days a week. I do cardio,” she said.
The conversation soon turned emotional as Palak spoke about the lineage of strong women in her family. “My mom being an overachiever takes the pressure off me,” she said, adding, “My nani was a clerk in a law office—very intelligent. When my mom wanted to act, everyone was against her, but my nani supported her.”
Palak concluded, “My mother was raised by a strong woman, and my mom is a strong woman. So I always knew—whatever I do in life, I’ll have her backing.”
