The actor recently revealed that his spotboy, a trusted aide who worked with him for over a decade and was considered “like family,” was stealing from his home. What began as minor thefts turned out to be part of a much bigger breach of trust.

From Missing Jackets to Stolen Currency
Tanuj shared that over the past few months, he began noticing small items disappearing—first jackets, then his late father’s expensive watches, and most recently, foreign currency after a trip to the UK. “Things are not kept under lock and key in our house, because there is a tradition of trust here… but now that has broken,” he said.

Addiction Behind the Theft
A detailed investigation revealed that the spotboy had fallen into drug addiction and was selling stolen items to sustain his habit. The revelation shocked the actor and his family. “My wife, mother, and young daughter live in the house. Knowing a drug-addicted thief was among us was terrifying,” Tanuj confessed.
