Long before Akshay Kumar became one of Bollywood's most bankable stars, he had already started experiencing the perks of fame. Not many know that even before the release of his debut film 'Saugandh' in 1991, fans were already approaching him for autographs—mistaking him for a hero just by seeing him on set.

In a candid interview with film critic Taran Adarsh, Akshay recalled the surreal moment from 1990 while shooting in Ooty. “Someone saw the shoot and assumed I was the hero.
