Vivek Lagoo: A Life Remembered

Veteran actor Vivek Lagoo passed away on June 19 at the age of 74. His funeral is scheduled for June 20 at the Oshiwara crematorium in Mumbai. Lagoo was previously married to the well-known actress Reema Lagoo, but they separated after a few years. Together, they had a daughter, Mrunmayee Lagoo Waikul, who has made a name for herself in the film industry.



Legacy of Vivek Lagoo

Vivek Lagoo was a prominent figure in Marathi theatre and appeared in numerous acclaimed films and television series. His notable works include 'He Man Bawre', 'Welcome Zindagi', 'What About Savarkar', 'Ugly', 'Eka Lagnachi Dusri Goshta', and 'Bhagan Bhaag', among others.

Maharashtra Minister Ashish Shelar expressed his condolences, stating, "The news of Vivek Lagoo's passing is profoundly saddening. His departure leaves a void in the Marathi theatre and film industry, as he was a vibrant and sensitive personality. His impactful performances on stage and his charming roles on television have secured him a special place in the hearts of many. May his soul rest in peace, and may his family find strength during this difficult time."



A Daughter's Heartfelt Farewell

Mrunmayee Lagoo shared a touching tribute on Instagram, posting a picture with her father. She wrote, "We fought together long and hard, but now it’s time to say goodbye with love and gratitude. MY DAD! My best friend, my guide, my number one fan, and the voice in my head… I will miss you… the best dad a girl can have."
