Raidurgam police have registered a case against actor Vijay Deverakonda under the SC/ST Act for allegedly making objectionable comments against the tribal community during the pre-release event of the film Retro held in April. An investigation is ongoing.

Hyderabad: The Raidurgam police registered a case against actor Vijay Devarkonda and others for allegedly hurting the sentiments of tribals.

The case was booked following a complaint made by Nenavath Ashok Kumar Naik, a resident of Saidabad alleging that the actor during the pre-release function of the movie ‘Retro’, made some adverse comments against the tribal community. The actor had participated in the event held in the month of April where he had allegedly made the comments.


Based on the complaint, the police registered a case against Vijay Devarkonda under different Sections of the SC/ST Act and are investigating.
