The search for a small plane which was believed to have crashed off the coast of Norfolk has been called off. It was reported that the aircraft vanished near Hemsby Gap at around 12.30pm on Sunday.


However, the HM Coastguard has confirmed that there is "no evidence of a missing aircraft". The search has been terminated.


Humber Coastguard was called at around 12.34pm and four lifeboats were called to the scene. A rescue helicopter was also been deployed in the search for the reported missing plane.
