Puri rath yatra 2025: Every year thousands of devotees reach Puri, Odisha, where the grand Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath is organized. It is one of the largest religious events in the world, which includes devotees from India and abroad. In view of this historic event, this year the Railways has announced the operation of 365 special trains for the convenience of passengers. This initiative is especially taken by East Coast Railway, so that the journey can be convenient and easy during the Rath Yatra.

According to the information released by the Railways, these special trains will be run on major routes like Visakhapatnam-Puri, Jagdalpur-Puri and Raigada-Khurda Road. This step is considered very important in view of the rush of passengers during the Rath Yatra.

Visakhapatnam-Puri Special Train: Date and Time

08313 Visakhapatnam-Puri Special Train will run via Haripurgram and Arugul. This train will leave from Visakhapatnam at 12:45 pm on 27 June, 5 July, 26 June and 4 July and will reach Puri at 12 noon on the same day.

08314 Puri-Visakhapatnam return train will leave from Puri at 2:15 am on June 28 and July 6 and reach Visakhapatnam at 1 pm on the same day.

This train will stop at the following stations:

Simhachakam, Kottavalasa, Vijayanagaram, Chipurupalli, Ponduru, Srikakulam Road, Tilaru, Kotbommali, Nupada, Palasa, Mandasa, Sompeta, Ichapuram, Brahmapur, Chhatrapur, Ganjam, Huma, Rambha, Khallykot, Chilika, Balugaon, Gangadharpur, Kalugaonpur Bhushanpur, Narakarapur, Capdar Road, Arugul, Haripurgram, Motari, Kanas Road, Delong, Jenapur Road, Birpurushottampur, Sakhigopal, Jankideipur and Maltipatpur.

Jagdalpur-Puri Special Train Operations

08445 Jagdalpur-Puri Special Train will leave Jagdalpur on 26 June and 4 July at 9 am via Haripurgram and Arugul and will reach Puri at 1:15 am the next day.

08446 Puri-Jagdalpur Special Train will leave from Puri on June 28 and July 6 at 12:45 pm and reach Jagdalpur at 4:45 pm on the same day.

This train will stop at the following stations:

Amagura, Kotpar Road, Jayapor, Chhatriput, Koraput, Damanjodi, Laxmipur Road, Tikiri, Singapore Road, Raigada, Parvatipuram, Bobbili, Vijayanagaram, Chipurupalli, Srikakulam Road, Nupada, Palasa, Palasa, Mandasa, Sompeta, Ichapuram, Brahmapur, Chhatrapuram, Khaliyakot, Balugaon, Nirakapur, Khaliyapur, Capdar Road, Arugul, Haripurgram, Motari, Kanas Road, Delang, Jenapur Road, Birpurushottampur, Sakhigopal, Jankideeipur and Maltipatpur.

How to reach Puri?

  • Air route: The nearest airport is Bhubaneswar (BBI), which is located about 60 km from Puri.

  • Rail route: Puri has its own railway station, where trains reach from many parts of the country.

  • Roadways: Regular buses and taxi services are available from Bhubaneswar to Puri.
