Big jump on second Saturday
‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, directed by RS Prasanna, has shown superb growth on its second Saturday. According to early numbers by Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 12.75 crore on Day 9, which is much higher than its earnings on Friday. On Day 8, it made Rs 6.65 crore, so this is almost double.
The total collection in India now stands at a solid Rs 108.30 crore.

- Saturday: Rs 20.2 crore
- Sunday: Rs 27.25 crore
- Monday: Rs 8.5 crore

- Wednesday: Rs 7.25 crore
- Thursday: Rs 6.5 crore
- Friday (Day 8): Rs 6.65 crore
- Saturday (Day 9): Rs 12.75 crore (early estimates)
In its first week alone, the film earned Rs 94.95 crore. If this pace keeps up, it might touch the Rs 120 crore mark by Sunday.
Aamir’s big risk pays off?
Aamir Khan made a bold move by releasing ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ only in cinemas, with no OTT plan. This was a big risk in today’s time, but it seems to have worked out well. The film opened nicely and has kept pulling people to theatres every day.
With numbers picking up again on the second Saturday, it looks like Aamir’s faith in his film and the cinema experience has paid off.
