Liam Gallagher has sent Oasis fans into meltdown after revealing a major detail about the band's hotly-anticipated reunion tour - before swiftly deleting the evidence. The 90s Britpop icon, 52, confirmed the group's on-stage time for their comeback gig in Cardiff, only to remove the post moments later, sparking a frenzy of speculation online. "Oasis on stage 8.15pm Cardiff don't be late or we'll start without you and you don't want that now do ya see ya there LG x" Liam tweeted, giving fans a rare peek behind the curtain of the tightly under-wraps tour schedule.
But before anyone could grab a screenshot, the tweet vanished - leading fans to believe the star either had second thoughts or was told to take it down by the band's team. The concert at Cardiff's Principality Stadium this Friday marks Oasis' first live show in two decades, and their return has been met with feverish excitement from fans old and new.
On Reddit, Liam's deleted tweet quickly became a hot topic. One fan commented: "Maybe this is a troll to get us in early to see the support."
Another wrote: "Or does this mean it will be a 3 hour show? Either way I'm so f*****g excited for Friday!" A third added: "There is a 10.30 curfew so that's when it end."
The tweet mishap comes just days after Liam's older brother Noel Gallagher, 58, gave an update on how rehearsals were shaping up.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Noel revealed: "We finished rehearsing last Tuesday. We've got a few days off now and it's sounding huge, so we're all, well this is it, there's no going back now. It's good."
The brothers are reuniting on stage for the first time in 20 years for what's already being billed as one of the biggest tours of the decade.
The reunion kicks off on Friday July 4 in Cardiff and includes a sell-out run of stadium gigs, with five shows scheduled at Heaton Park in Manchester and seven at Wembley Stadium in London.
The tour will run all summer, concluding with a final concert on September 28.
Sources close to the band say rehearsals have been electric, with the group spotted playing Cigarettes and Alcohol - hinting it will feature in the final setlist.
Liam reportedly arrived at the London rehearsal studio armed with throat sweets and has ditched the booze in favour of tea to keep his vocal cords in top shape.
A source told The Sun: "Liam drinks tea to help warm up his vocal chords. He feels really fresh and they're excited to get going. Rehearsals have been electric and they're perfectly in sync."
