Zara Tindall has made a candid admission about motherhood and parenting in a recent magazine interview. Princess Anne's daughter Zara, 44, is mum to her and husband Mike Tindall's three children Mia, 11, Lena, seven, and Lucas, four.

The family, who are members of the Royal Family but have no official titles, live a fairly private life on Princess Anne's Gatcombe estate, where they have the space and freedom to live the life of an ordinary family. However, while she may be King Charles' niece, Zara - who was not given a royal title by her mother at birth - has been very open about what parenting is really like, showing that being a royal parent does not make you immune to the struggles parents face all over the world. Speaking about how there is never a "dull" moment at home, Zara said that family life is "incredible", however there is always a "different dilemma or problem" every day.

She also told Bella magazine that she sees parts of her own personality in her children, who she is trying to teach good values.

The mum-of-three said: "My personality is coming out in the kids, and there are some parts that you love and some that you don't like.

"You hopefully instill in them the values that you hold and from both of us (herself and Mike), what we have learned from our careers and our hard work, dedication, motivations, lessons and respect."

She continued: "It is so easy to be distracted from that kind of thing, so we try and work every day to make sure they get the same values that we had."

Despite being members of the Royal Family, Zara and Mike, along with their three children, are seen on the royal stage only a few times each year.

Among them there normally is the annual Sandringham Christmas Day walkabout as well as other big gatherings open to wider members of the family, such as Princess Kate's Christmas carol concert.

Just last month, Zara and Mike were seen attending Royal Ascot, where on one day they even appeared in the royal carriage procession. Their children did not attend the event with them.

Zara has previously spoken about her lack of royal title, saying she felt "obviously very lucky" that she did not have a title and could therefore enjoy more freedom than her royal relatives.
