Kaleb Cooper, the breakout star of Clarkson's Farm, has hit back at critics who label him a 'fake farmer' and shared his grand ambitions for the future.

The 27-year-old won over audiences on the Amazon Prime series with his candid and often comical interactions with Jeremy Clarkson.

Despite his on-screen assistance at Diddly Squat Farm, Kaleb is far from idle off-camera, managing his own smallholding and penning three books.

When discussing his personal farming aspirations, Kaleb revealed his desire to expand his agricultural contracting business.

He remarked: "I want to take over the world. I want to be the biggest contractor there is! I think a lot of people like me who have not come from a farming background get a lot of hate, people saying, 'Oh, you're just a fake farmer. You've not been born into it'.

He firmly believes that one's background in farming isn't what counts, stating: "It doesn't matter if you're not born into it or not. What matters the most is that you get out of bed in the morning and you go and farm."

In the latest season, viewers watch as the former Top Gear presenter embarks on a new venture, opening a pub.

Kaleb initially thought Jeremy's pub project was a sound idea, noting: "In terms of an outlet for farming produce and better control of what you're putting on the menu, and everything's British.

"We've seen in the previous series when we both tried to build a dam that we're not professionals at many different things, and maybe running a pub isn't one of them either.

"The pub is awesome. It's got a great atmosphere. The views are great and it's in a nice little remote spot."

Despite the current series drawing to a close, Clarkson's Farm enthusiasts are delighted that production for the next series is already well underway, reports Gloucestershire Live.

Earlier this year, Lisa Hogan took to Instagram to update followers that they were deep into filming the next instalment.

In the video, she revealed: "We were filming yesterday and going along in the tractor in a field by the hens and there is this little white blob on the road.

"Lo and behold, it was a lamb. Just popped out right there and then, so cute."
