While not yet mandatory for all, many state governments are encouraging schools and students to generate their APAAR IDs to ensure easier academic tracking, transfers, and admissions.

🔹 Step-by-Step: How to Apply for APAAR ID



✅ Step 1: Parental Consent





  • Visit: https://apaar.education.gov.in




  • Go to the "Resources" section.




  • Download the Parental Consent Form (PDF).




  • Fill in all required details and submit it to the child’s school.





    • This is mandatory for students below 18.







✅ Step 2: Registration via Academic Bank of Credit (ABC)





  • Visit: https://www.abc.gov.in




  • Click on ‘My Account’ → Select ‘Student’.




  • You’ll be redirected to DigiLocker.




  • Register using the student’s Aadhaar number.




  • Complete KYC verification by submitting Aadhaar-based details.




  • Fill in:





    • School name




    • Academic details




    • Class and board info






  • Submit the form and your APAAR ID will be generated.

  • Log in again to https://www.abc.gov.in




  • Go to the dashboard.




  • Click on ‘APAAR Card Download’.




  • You can now download or print your APAAR ID.
