At midnight KST on July 3, BTS excited fans with a fresh new set of concept photos for their impending live concert album PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE – LIVE, which is due out July 18 at 1 PM KST. The striking images show the group in dramatic, cinematic scenes from traveling in a cop car to communicating via prison-style contact booths. These gritty scenes foreshadow deeper undercurrents of limitation and liberation.
Conversely, a second image series presents the seven members clad in white and silver futurism, exuding lean minimalist glamour and contemporary charm. Every member’s individual styling captures their personal flair while still projecting a cohesive, charismatic image.
A Tribute to an Iconic Global Tour
The album summarizes the electric experience of BTS’s PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE tour, which was held from 2021 to 2022. With 12 performances across major cities around the world such as Seoul, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas, the tour attracted over 4 million fans globally, both physically and virtually. BTS became the first Korean artist to perform at top U.S. venues like SoFi Stadium and Allegiant Stadium.
PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE – LIVE will include 22 songs, including “ON,” “FIRE,” “Dope,” and “IDOL.” The album represents raw, unfiltered vocals and the intense vibe of live crowds, and it is a sonic time capsule for ARMYs.
