Hong Kong actor Joel Chan, along with his wife and their son, traveled to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to celebrate their son Jaco’s fifth birthday in the city.

According to The StarChan shared the heartwarming occasion on social media, posting photos from the celebration and expressing his gratitude for the chance to spend such a special day with his family. In his post, he described the day as “beautiful and memorable,” thanking his loved ones for making it a moment to cherish.

The family’s trip to Malaysia sparked excitement among Chan’s fans, many of whom took to the comments to wish Jaco a happy birthday. Some netizens playfully suggested that the young boy try durian, Malaysia’s famous tropical fruit, during their visit.

“Did Jaco try durian while he was here?” one fan asked.

“I can’t believe you traveled to KL to celebrate Jaco’s birthday,” another commented. “Happy birthday to Big Brother!”

Chan has long expressed his affection for Malaysia. He has previously spoken about his admiration for Penang, mentioning his interest in potentially owning property there due to the island’s beautiful beaches, vibrant cuisine, and the warmth of its people.

At 49, Chan first rose to fame in 1995 as a solo Cantopop singer before transitioning into acting. His notable TVB projects include “Virtues of Harmony,” “Forensic Heroes,” and “The Unholy Alliance.”
