The buzz is on between two Bollywood stars — Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor — with their upcoming films creating waves. Ranveer Singh’s first look from Dhurandhar was released recently, showcasing intense action and bloodshed, instantly grabbing audience attention. Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana look, featuring him as Lord Ram and Yash as Ravana, also received wide acclaim and social media reactions. Although both films are slated to release at different times, Ranveer Singh has taken the early lead in viewer engagement.

Dhurandhar, set to release on December 5, 2025, will clash with Prabhas’ The Raja Saab. On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana, with a massive combined budget of around 1600 crores for two parts, is scheduled for Diwali 2026 and its sequel in 2027.

Ranveer Singh’s first look video, released on July 6, is 2 minutes 39 seconds long and features high-octane action scenes alongside actors like Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Khanna, Arjun Rampal, and R. Madhavan. The video has been trending at #4 on YouTube for three days, amassing over 36 million (3.6 crore) views.

In comparison, Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana introduction video dropped three days earlier on July 3. Praised for its VFX and star cast, the 3-minute video is trending at #1 in the music category on YouTube with around 14 million (1.4 crore) views and 560,000 likes after six days.

While Ramayana holds the top spot in YouTube music trends, Dhurandhar leads significantly in overall views and engagement in a shorter time frame. It remains to be seen if Ranveer Singh can also surpass the success of his earlier film Animal, to which Dhurandhar is being compared.
