There is good news for the youth dreaming of a job in the railways. RRB will recruit more than 1 lakh posts in the next two years, in which 50-50 thousand appointments will be made in 2025 and 2026.



If you are dreaming of a government job in the railways, then this news is no less than good news for you. Indian Railways is going to recruit more than one lakh posts soon. The Railway Ministry itself has confirmed that about 50-50 candidates will be given jobs in the railways in the years 2025-26 and 2026-27.



Roadmap for railway recruitment ready



Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has rapidly moved forward the recruitment process in the last few months. According to the ministry, Computer Based Tests (CBT) have been conducted for 55,197 vacancies under 7 different recruitment notifications since November 2024. About 1.86 crore candidates from all over the country have participated in these examinations. After the completion of these recruitment processes, candidates will be appointed to more than 50,000 posts in the year 2025-26.



1.08 lakh posts were announced in 2024



Railways had announced recruitment for a total of 1,08,324 posts in 2024. Half of these posts will be filled in 2025-26 and the remaining more than 50,000 posts will be filled in 2026-27. The Railway Ministry has stated in its press note that 12 notifications have already been issued under this scheme and this process will continue in future.



More than 9000 candidates have got jobs



Railways also informed that in the first quarter of this financial year itself, appointment letters have been given to more than 9000 candidates. That is, the Railways is gradually working towards filling all its vacant posts.



Special planning and hard work is required in the recruitment process



Railway Recruitment Board examinations are considered to be one of the biggest competitive examinations in the country. The number of candidates in these is in lakhs and accurate planning and intensive coordination is required in organizing the examination. This is the reason why the ministry is working with transparency and efficiency at every step.
