Indian badminton player Saina Nehwal informed about her husband and badminton player Parupalli Kashyap (P. Kashyap) late on Sunday night. He wrote in the story on Instagram, “After much thought, Kashyap and I have decided to separate.”

Saina Nehwal had a love marriage with Kashyap Parupalli on 14 December 2018. Both were in a relationship since 2007. However, since 2005 knew each other. In the early days of their career, the two used to train together at Pullela Gopichand Academy in Hyderabad.
Saina informed about her separation from her husband on Instagram at around 11 pm on Sunday night.
Saina-Kashyap gave a reception party in Hyderabad Saina married P. Kashyap at her house in Hyderabad. Only family and close friends attended it. The two gave their wedding reception party on December 16, 2018 at the Novotel Hotel in Hyderabad.
This high-profile reception party included many popular faces including V Chamundeshwarnath, Kidambi Srikanth, Jwala Gutta, Ashwini Ponnappa, Sudhir Babu and Nagarjuna from the cinema industry, Rakul Preet from the sports world.

The first Indian badminton player to win Saina Olympic medal
Saina Nehwal, who hails from Haryana, is the first Indian badminton player to win the Olympic medal. He gave India a bronze medal in the London Olympic-2012. She has been a World No -1 player in the Women’s Singles Rankings in 2015.
Saina is the only female Indian player to secure world number-1 rank in badminton. She has represented India at 3 Olympic Games. Saina won the gold medal at the 2010 and 2018 Commonwealth Games.
Saina made headlines in 2008 by winning the Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Junior Championship. The same year he took part in the Olympics for the first time. She became the first Indian woman to reach the Olympic quarter-finals.
She defeated Hong Kong’s then world number-5 player Wang Chen, but lost to Indonesia’s Maria Christin Yulianti. In 2009, Saina became the first Indian to win the BWF Super Series competition. Saina was awarded the Arjuna Award in 2009 and the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award in 2010.
Kashyap won the gold medal in the 2014 Commonwealth Games
Parupalli Kashyap hails from Hyderabad, Telangana. He won the gold medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. This was the first medal of an Indian badminton player in the Commonwealth Games in 32 years.
Kashyap has been students of both former All-England champions Prakash Padukone and Pullela Gopichand. He is also the first Indian men’s badminton player to reach the quarter-finals of the Olympics in 2012.
In 2013, Kashyap was number-6 in the World Ranking. This was the highest rank of his career. However, due to frequent injuries, they could not stand on this position for a long time.
