News India Live, Digital Desk: Passengers will get world-class facilites: There is big news for those traveling by bus in Delhi. The two busiest bus stands in the capital – Anand Vihar and Sarai Kale Khan ISBT – will no longer be the base of buses. They are now being converted into ‘World Class Multi-Model Transit Hub’, which will make the journey of passengers even easier and convenient.
This change means that passengers will not only catch just just these terminals, but from here they will be able to reach metro, rail, city bus, auto and taxis easily. They will get the facility of uninterrupted movement between various transport mediums. The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is leading this grand project, which aims to reduce traffic burden and provide better connectivity to the end.
In the coming time, these hubs will also have many state-of-the-art facilities, including air-conditioned reactations, clean food courts, shopping areas and comfortable lounge. Also, passengers will get huge underground parking and dedicated pick-up and drop-off zones to parking vehicles. These facilities will not only improve passenger experience, but will also reduce congestion.
For example, Anand Vihar ISBT is being designed in such a way that it will be fully connected with the metro and railway stations at the underground and ground level. Passengers will be able to move from one instrument to another without coming out or more trouble. At the same time, in addition to the metro and bus terminal in Sarai Kale Khan ISBT, there will also be integration of Ring Road, Railway Track and Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) station.
This will definitely give a new dimension to Delhi’s transport system and will make it under the category of global cities, which will benefit millions of daily travelers.
