According to data from Sacnilk, the film recorded a 44.33% occupancy in the Hindi market on Friday—an impressive feat, particularly for a film headlined by fresh faces.

To put the numbers in perspective: Aamir Khan’s 'Sitaare Zameen Par' opened at ₹10.7 crore, while Akshay Kumar’s 'Sky Force', released over a holiday weekend, managed ₹12.25 crore on day one. 'Saiyaara', with no major star power to lean on, has outpaced both.

Saiyaara breaks Dhadak’s record

With its day-one figure, 'Saiyaara' has now overtaken 'Dhadak' (2018)—which introduced Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter—as the highest opening-day grosser for a Hindi film featuring debut leads. 'Dhadak' had posted ₹8.76 crore on its first day.
