Western Railway Launches Tejas Special for Festive Rush

To meet increased passenger demand, Western Railway has announced a Superfast Tejas Special Train between Mumbai Central and Indore on a special fare basis. This new train aims to offer faster, more comfortable travel during the monsoon and festive period leading up to Raksha Bandhan and Independence Day.


Schedule and Frequency

  • Train No. 09085:
    Mumbai Central to Indore
    Departs: Every Monday, Wednesday & Friday at 11:20 PM
    Arrives: 1:00 PM next day
    Duration: ~13.5 hours
    Runs from: July 23 to August 29, 2025
  • Train No. 09086:
    Indore to Mumbai Central
    Departs: Every Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday at 5:00 PM
    Arrives: 7:10 AM next day
    Runs from: July 24 to August 30, 2025

The Tejas Special will halt at the following key stations in both directions:

  • Borivali
  • Coat of arms
  • Surat
  • Let them
  • Dahod
  • Ratlam
  • Fingers

These halts cover important junctions in Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh, offering connectivity to a wide passenger base.


Onboard Experience and Coaches

The train is equipped with:

  • First AC
  • AC 2-Tier
  • AC 3-Tier coaches

Passengers can expect superfast travel with premium comfortliving up to the Tejas branding.
