8th Pay Commission for CRPF: Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has a vast role in maintaining internal security in the country. From crowd and riot control to staying alert during counter-insurgency operations to providing security to VVIPs, CRPF is one of the most prominent paramilitary forces in India. Its size, nationwide presence, responsibilities, and critical internal security roles highlight its importance. Like any other central government employees, CRPF employees, including non-gazetted and gazetted officers, have also been waiting for the salary revision in the 8th Pay Commission. Once the 8th CPC is formed and its recommendations are implemented, CRPF employees will see their basic pay and other allowances rise. What can be estimated basic pay, house rent allowance (HRA) and transport allowance for CRPF employees at 2.08, 2.28, and 2.57 fitment factors? see our projections to know.

HRA is calculated based on a central govt employee's basic pay and the city they live in (X, Y, or Z). As per the 7th Pay Commission, HRA rates are at 24 per cent, 16 per cent, and 8 per cent of basic pay for X, Y, and Z cities respectively. Once the DA reached at 50 per cent, the rates increased to 30 per cent, 20 per cent and 10 per cent, respectively.
For our calculations, we will take 24 per cent as the HRA rate.
Central govt employees get their TA as per their rank and the place they travel to attend their office. TA for them can be in the range of Rs 900 to Rs 7,200.
We will calculate revised basic pay, HRA and TA for Head Constable (basic pay Rs 25,500), Inspector (basic pay Rs 44,900), Assistant Commandant (basic pay Rs 56,100), Commandant (basic pay Rs 1,23,100) and Inspector General Rs 1,44,200. We will take HRA as 24 per cent of their basic pay and TA for higher TPTA cities. We will calculate these amounts at 2.08, 2.28, and 2.57 fitment factors.
